Hi I am Chandrashekhar Deshpande, a Mechanical Engineer with a long-standing experience of 40+ years. I completed my graduation in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (popularly known as I.I.T), Bombay in 1981. Currently based out of Pune, I begin a new journey to share my acquired knowledge in the field of mechanical engineering, state-of-the-art technology, provide effective solutions and excellence.
I am fascinated by Marathons & Yoga as much as by cutting-edge technology. I spend time running Half Marathons and practicing Yoga developing harmony in the body, mind, and environment.
I have completed 38 half marathons and one of them was converted to Full Marathon. I plan to complete an Ultra Marathon (50 km) in 2021. Surya Namskar has been very effective for my Half Marathon training.
Experience
My career began in Machine Tools Design with Tata Motors, & then worked in Mechatronics & Automation. I had exposure to tooling required in nuclear plants & component fabrication. I worked in Steel Mill power transmission systems, including torsional vibration analysis using remote sensing.
With a work experience of over 4 decades in various roles in Mechanical Engineering, I worked with leading global organizations, learned classical mechanical engineering & design styles from global Automobile & Manufacturing companies.
I participated in the technological transition to CNC Machines, PLC & Robotics in manufacturing. I started with the manual design process with a drawing board & manual calculations. I have versatile experience in systems with sensors, remote sensing & the Internet of Things. For most of my career, I worked on new products like innovative machines, fixtures & tooling.
